Here is an example of a valid election filing link versus a generic, invalid link. The former will be accepted while the latter will be rejected, as it does not directly provide the verifying agency access to the required information to determine the legitimacy of a candidacy.

How to find my election filing link?

You can usually find the required election filing link URL by searching for your local Supervisor of Elections Office. Sometimes this may be your town, city, or county election authority. Search for the list of candidates running for office (including yourself).

For example, you might search: “Palm Bay, Florida Supervisor of Elections Candidate List”

If you are running a federal campaign, the URL must be from fec.gov and point to your specific filing (e.g. https://fec.gov/data/committee/C00123456 ).
