Sending a Robocall
Robocalls are pre-recorded messages sent directly to voters’ phones or voicemails. They’re a powerful way to make a personal connection with many voters at once. You can even have a respected community member record one as an endorsement.
When to Send Robocalls
You’ll see robocall tasks automatically scheduled in your Dashboard at:
- 4 weeks before Election Day
- 2 weeks before Election Day
- Election week
Start a Robocall Campaign
- Find the robocall task in your Dashboard.
- Click Schedule.
- Select your target audience (who will receive the call).
Choose Your Script
You have three options:
- Use a saved script
- Generate a new script
- Paste in your own script
💡 You might use a pre-written message asking voters to support you, or have a local leader record an endorsement. Consider asking a well-known community member to record a short endorsement — it can boost credibility and connection.
Schedule Your Robocall
- Pick a date. (Robocalls need 3 days of processing time, so the first available date may not be immediate.)
- Add any special requests if needed.
- Click Schedule — and your robocall request is submitted.
Track Your Campaign
- Once scheduled, your task will be checked off in your Dashboard.
- You’ll see how many voters are targeted (example: 2,100 voters).
- Your progress bar will update to reflect new voter contacts.
What Happens Next
- Your political advisor will review your script and audience.
- You’ll get instructions on how to record your robocall message.
- After approval, your robocall will be sent out to voters.
Why This Matters
Robocalls let you speak directly to voters in your own voice (or through a trusted ally), building trust and familiarity. They’re especially effective for reminders and persuasion in the final weeks before an election.
