Send Text Messages To Voters
Text messages are one of the most powerful ways to reach voters. They have much higher open rates than email, which means your message is far more likely to be seen. With Pro access, you can send targeted text campaigns using your local voter file. Here’s how.
Where to Send Text Campaigns
You can start a campaign in two ways:

👉 From your Voter File
Sending From the Dashboard
You’ll see tasks to send texts automatically scheduled at:- 4 weeks before Election Day
- 2 weeks before Election Day
- 1 week before Election Day
Steps:
- Click the task prompt.
- Select your target audience.
- Choose your script:
- Use a saved script
- Generate a new script (AI-assisted)
- Write your own
Editing Your Script
- Always review the generated script.
👉 Make it sound like you.
👉 Add key details (polling hours, voting location info).
👉 Offer help if needed (“Reply RIDE for help getting to the polls”). - Attach an image if you want to make your message more engaging.
Scheduling
- Pick a date and time for your text.
- Review and confirm — your campaign will be scheduled.
- You’ll get confirmation before it is sent out.
Sending From the Voter File
- Go to Voter Data in your menu.
- Select the Texting voter file.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Schedule Campaign.
💡 The flow is the same as from the Dashboard (script → edit → image → schedule).
Tip: Fill Out Your Profile First
Your text messages improve if your profile is complete, because the system can generate better content.
- Go to My Profile and make sure to add:
- Campaign details (office you’re running for)
- Your “Why” statement
- Top issues
- Fun facts about yourself
